BootsNerd was created by Sarah Jaffe, a long-time boots enthusiast. Sarah has been writing about boots for over 10 years and is passionate about all things related to this stylish footwear.
What started as a hobby quickly turned into an obsession, and soon realized that there wasn’t really a go-to source of information for boots lovers out there.
So, we decided to create our own. From humble beginnings, BootsNerd has grown into the comprehensive website it is today, thanks to the support of our amazing community.

Sarah Jaffe is a freelance writer and editor with a passion for fashion, beauty and all things lifestyle. She’s been writing about these topics for over 10 years and has been featured in a number of publications, including Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour and Cosmopolitan.
She has done BA (Hons) in Footwear Design from De Montfort University, UK. She loves to write about boots and has a particular interest in vintage and sustainable fashion.
When she’s not writing, you’ll find her either exploring new cities or curled up at home with a good book and a cup of tea.
Emily Saunders – Fashion Writer
Emily Saunders is a freelance journalist and copywriter. She’s written for a range of publications, including Stylist, Grazia and Red magazine.
She has a keen interest in fashion and bring her own unique style to the BootsNerd team. She has done BA (Hons) in Fashion Journalism from the University of the Arts London, UK.
She writes about the latest boot trends as well as how to wear them in a way that suits your personal style. She also reviews the latest products on the market and interviews industry experts.
When she’s not writing, Emily can be found exploring new countries or indulging in her other passion – baking.
James Williams – Menswear Writer
James Williams has been working in the fashion industry and like our other team members, he is also a boot lover. He has worked as a freelance stylist and has been writing about menswear for over 5 years.
He mostly writes about men’s boots but also covers other topics such as trends, grooming and style tips. He has done Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Footwear and Accessory Design from Academy of Art University, San Francisco, USA.
James believes that a great pair of boots can transform any outfit and makes a man look more stylish and handsome. He also thinks that a good boot should be comfortable enough to wear all day long without giving any foot pain.
